waiting4codot:asynca:?????????? “WHO NEEDS SOME SURGERY?! I HAVE MY GARDENING TOOLS READY”*Casually skates over the “What kind of gardens do you have?” joke*I saw a lot of people commenting on this about needle-nose pliers being used as a tool to pull out bullets and whatnot, but I feel the need to clear a few things up (because I’m having a grouchy morning).First off, you would never use pliers to remove a bullet - you’d use forceps in most cases (especially bullet forceps) , but that’s not the point I wanted to make here. The big point I wanted to make is that people operate under the assumption that Mercy is only working on humans. I mean, there’s a lot of Omnics on the field, so I imagine some “Battlefield Rewiring” would be essential to victory. Not the mention that almost everyone else participating has at LEAST one limb that’s been replaced. You’re gonna want those pliers when McCree gets a glitchy trigger finger. And that socket wrench too.(Addendum: This is me being INCREDIBLY picky, but it’s also possible those are wire strippers. Alright, going back to my cave now.)That’s…actually a pretty good explanation. I’d just figured that her staff–and maybe her Valkyrie suit–being new/prototypes, she might need to make frequent repairs in the field, which in my view makes her the real BAMF. Either that or she’s just the kind of girl who feels underprepared if she do any have tools, though in that case I’d expect it to be a Leatherman. (Or a Swiss Army knife, but maybe that’s a little too on the nose?) -- source link
