It was here the sect decided the policy and direction of the sect as a whole. In theory the council is dedicated only to matters of religion within the sect, but in the Sabbat it is often hard to separate one aspect from another. Since the beginning of the Final Nights, the Sword of Caine has not had an Ecumenical Council. With the death of Regent Galbraith all the way up to the Year of Fire, the Sabbat has had little time to convene away from war. With the ashes settling the time has once again come for the sec to gather in holy discussion. Regent Venere Carboni has once again called all members of the Sabbat to meet in the Sao Paulo Cathedral in Brazil. The first Ecumenical Council in over a decade is to be had, and much is to be decided. The Keys of Solomon, an old pack of Diabloists hidden from the Sabbat past have come forward. Seeking acknowledgement for their past deeds and the right to continue to exist with their brothers and sisters, it is at the Ecumenical Council where their fate shall be decided. While the Keys of Solomon have taken the spotlight for the Council, many other issues linger still to be decided. What else will be revealed at the Ecumenical Council? Many will fight for their right to have their voices heard and voted upon. For the Sabbat the Jyhad begins anew at the Ecumenical Council.
