Today was such an amazing day that I had to write about it. I have always had a passion for theatre, so I decided to take design class this term that was based on the theatre. For the class we get free tickets to different plays in the city. The play I went to was an interactive play in which the audience was involved in the actual play itself. It was a very intimate setting where you are literally a few feet from the actor and the actor would somehow incorporate members of the audience into his plays. The play was set in a warehouse with tons and tons of boxes filled with so many vintage goodies from all over the world. We got to explore and see what was in those boxes before the play actually started. There were so many amazing little treasures that you would never find in stores. It inspired me to collect more items, and embrace my hoarding lol ( but in a productive and inspiring way).I was a bit nervous that I would get called on because tbh stuff like that always happens to me. I am pretty sure it is because of my hair lol. However, I focused on remaining calm, and whatever would happen I would just go with the flow.Of course I end up getting picked from the audience, and was part of a whole skit in the play. It was basically improv, and I had to go with the flow, meaning whatever surprise would come my way I would just have to act along with it. It was amazing because I felt so out of my comfort zone but at the same time I felt so comfortable being on stage. There were so many scenes that I participated in that I will never forget. Like the peanuts ( foam ) falling from the ceiling at the end of the scene, the actor tap dancing on out pretend date, having the actor tell me to kiss him on the cheek and then going for my lips ! Hah that took me for a loop for real though lol, but it was all fun. I felt amazing, I felt like myself, and it was fun being on stage in front of so many people doing things I never done before.I honestly felt so alive, and I wish I felt like that all the time.
