Charitable Garden, who by now could understand human speech, was disgusted by this talk of becoming a weapon. Another soldier was turned into a plant. It was silent now, as Charitable Garden intended. The remaining soldiers were the ones to name Charitable Garden, for this death of becoming a plant was the most merciful death this war had to offer. They found themselves wishing to become part of the earth below, much like Charitable Garden and the two plants that were once living, breathing human beings.
