Because their histories in the comics are full of bullshit like this xD For those who are curious about the sordid details: Arisia basically used Space Magic to make herself Space Legal for Hal Jordan to date and they proceeded to have just…the CREEPIEST relationship for a while Made especially weird by the fact she used power ring space magic to “Age herself up” so that Hal would date her and Hal then deciding “okay this is fine” and yeah just There’s a reason why Green Lantern comics NEVER FEATURE HER or bring this shit up anymore…it’s because I assume someone high up at DC quite rightly desperately wants to never reference this horrifying nonsense ever again…   Like Egg Fu, “Wong Chu” and Hal Jordan’s horrifying nickname for Thomas Kalmaku, there is a LOT that happened in the silver and bronze age that really was just…AWFUL on every possible level…and that modern day publishers really wish had never seen print  Wait then why was Egg Fu in 52. Or am I misremembering that he was in 52. Ah a character named Chang Tzu who was inspired by him was but they thankfully removed all the creepy racist stuff from those horrible silver age appearances and reimagined him to instead be a cyborg Nightmarish EGG MONSTER who was basically MODOK but if MODOK was a egg monster that gives me nightmares because what the hell why is this egg sentient Eggs should not be sentient and they should not want to kill us horribly ;-; DO NOT WANT Supposedly they later on retconned this so that Arisa came from a world where people chronologically aged slower than humans, and that she was actually much older than Hal at this point, with the ring just moving her physical appearance to match her mental appearance, with later other Lanters (I think Kye Rayner and Guy Gardner) having relationships with her too… Except that, no, that still doesn’t work, ‘cause she was still MENTALLY 14 year old when Hal decided to sleep with her. Hal just pulled the “She doesn’t LOOK 14 years old!“ excuse which is soooooo grosssss. Later writers seemingly referenced this again, albeit most likely by accident, later with his troubling mental monologue when hanging out with the underage Supergirl in the preboot Brave and the Bold series. And, yeah, this was also the period where it seemed widely known that Oliver Queen slept with teenagers… which is… troubling. To the extent that Black Canary, upon meeting Mia Dearsden (future Speedy) for the first time in the Quiver storyline suspected that Ollie might have been sleeping with her (he wasn’t). When Roy Harper pointed out that that can’t have been true ‘cause she looked 16, Dinah responded by saying Ollie likes them young, itself possibly a reference to how she may have been around 18 years old when in some stories when she joined the League, with Ollie being in his mid-twenties when they decided to start dating. Oliver Queen did WHAT??? After his resurrection especially Ollie wasn’t… the best guy.But then, even before Hal brought  him back to life he was still an awful person in a lot of ways. For example, in the storyline where Roy Harper developed a heroin addiction, Ollie remain firm in his position that only criminals became drug addicts, causing him to assault Roy and throw him out their house.It was Black Canary and (surprisingly) Hal Jordan who helped Roy get the treatment he needed, and Ollie throwing Roy out onto the street remained a point of… friction between the two for years afterwards.Green Arrow when he’s good is great, but when he’s bad he’s HORRIBLE. -- source link
