englishsongbird: “No sir, all thirteen!”A Formal Introduction to Little Twelve From that very first line, my heart was irretrievably stolen by the Twelfth Doctor, and he’s since become my very favorite. I can’t draw or write or make gifs or graphics, but I can knit. So I’ve shown my love through knitting. Here’s my little version of the Twelfth Doctor, handknit in cotton and 100% wool (for his fluffy hair and ATTACK EYEBROWS). His jacket is knit in cotton and lined by hand with very important red lining. Between work and kids and dishes (and to stave off dullness), little Twelve took me about six weeks to complete, with a solid week knitting and pulling apart the jacket three times so that it would actually fit properly and another week working on getting his hair just right. I chose to knit him in the holey sweater because it’s my favorite version of Twelve’s costume, partly because he wears it in my two favorite episodes of the season (Listen and The Caretaker) and partly because it just looks so utterly casual-cool.
