Launched in 1978, Stirsky and Dutch was RTL Nederland’s first foray into the burgeoning buddy cop show format. Stirsky is an ex-apple vendor from Amsterdam whose father is found dead, a poisoned tulip bulb stuffed in his mouth. “Dutch", the wise-cracking suspended L.A. cop on a much-needed vacation, involves himself in the case when his spiced-apple pannenkoeken is found booby-trapped.
