The rest of my doujinshi order came in today. The first three images are what I was expecting, 20 new doujins (two of which are repeats so not pictured.) I got some new Megumi no Daigo books, which while I know no one on Tumblr likes, one is a duel effort between Kazuma Kodaka and Sanami Matoh who are two of my favourite BL authors (Kizuna and FAKE, respectively if the names sound familiar but you couldn’t place them.) Fittingly, one is also by one of my least favourite BL artists, Naduki Koujima. The Suikoden books are mostly about the Matilda Knights and mini-McDohl and Gremio. I love Teo’s household and stories set there, but I have this perpetual fear someday I’m going to unknowingly order GremioxTir shota badtouch times instead of the happy family I want. Today, thankfully, is not that day! The last one is all about an attempt to earn money by opening a host club in the castle. It has bouncer Bolgan, Freed in tears, Valeria drawing more women than the fancy lads combined, and Nina. Nina. What I wasn’t expecting is how heavy the boxes were. It turns out they also sent me six extra books! The first five Shinsho and the guide to the first Gaiden. I’ll be honest, I don’t usually pay attention to supplementary publications from Japan unless they are artbooks or comics because I can’t read a lick of Japanese, they don’t mean much to me. These things are fantastic though! Each one covers a specific handful of character in detail, detail I sadly can’t read but I’ll enjoy the lovely illustrations. They have character backgrounds, scenes, stats, and a ‘key person.’ Viktor’s key person is… Gremio and vice versa? O-okay, I’m sure that’s explained in all that tiny text. In the back of the book they have illustrations of key scenes, fanart, info on the Water Margin, recipes with Hai Yo, maps, stickers, postcards, decals, a guide to Romanised names, merchandise lists, and even what looks like a fold out board game! My only regret is that I can’t thank the sender. I bought through a proxy service and I don’t know which seller they came from, ffffff. Anyhow, as always feel free to request scans if one of the doujins catches your eye. I’ll get to them all, eventually. -- source link
