Portrait of Keir Vine from Portico Quartet. Last year I was commissioned to design a poster of portico quartet for their show at the Brunel Goods Shed in Stroud. For the first design I did a blind contour drawing of each band member and digitally massed in some value. I then tried putting some texture over the top in watercolour. Although neither one was used I found it an enjoyable project to work on. I decided to push this one further mainly because I was so keen on the shape.
