obstinaterixatrix: this is the header lex drew for our collab fic, going nowhere // gone nowhere—a no-train reunion au. here’s an excerpt: “You worked at the Dumpty’s!? ”“Nobody who eats regularly at that nightmare shack has working taste buds,” Min seethes, “or any common sense, or empathy.” “Whoa, hey, where’s all this—”“I hated every minute of it. I hated locking up at night. I hated sitting in the break room. I hated the smell of fry grease. I hated getting called in on my day off because someone else got fed up and quit! Again!” It’s apparently a hatred strong enough to make Min drag himself upright so he can glare at the offending breakfast tray with utmost contempt. “I hated cleaning the bathrooms, and I hated having to fix the same order four times in a row for the same stupid jerks who never actually read the menu or paid attention when I asked how they wanted their eggs done, I hated Horace—” “Who’s Horace?”“If I had to choose between ever taking a single step into another Dumpty’s or—or—”“Jail?” Ryan offers. “Eating post-war American food for the rest of your life?
