mannschaftmadridista: Friday - October 6th, 2017 is World Cerebral Palsy Day. Cerebral Palsy is caused by lack of oxygen to the brain (mainly at birth, but can happen later in life). No two cases of Cerebral Palsy are alike. Some can walk, others use wheelchairs. Some have a speech impediment, others do not. The most important thing to understand is that most of those with CP can do the same things as those who are able-bodied. On Friday, I’m wearing green, but not just for me. There has been little to no research done on adults with CP. My own doctor has said that I, along with others, are basically guinea pigs because no one knows what health issues we will face as we get older.I’ve had a few health issues recently and don’t really know if they are tied into my disability.
