funoneonone: I do not usually post multiple “coffee-time” photos, however, I recently came across the blog of asleepylioness-deactivated20140 and I realized, after perusing her wonderful blog, that she had been hosting a weekly #coffeeclub. With her weekly ode to the act of drinking coffee, along with her body positive ideas, I knew she was a girl after my own heart. This was the first week I was going to submit to her weekly coffee club because the theme was “anniversaries” - she was celebrating one year of the coffee club. Turns out, the same weekend marks the anniversary of Mr and I co-habitating, and so I saw it as a serendipitous invitation to finally submit. When I went to submit this morning, I found her blog gone. I found others’ messages about her departure, and while I don’t know why she deactivated her blog, I respect her choice. When it comes to social media, the larger your audience gets, the harder it gets to please the proverbial masses, I’ve found, no matter how good your intention, or how hard you try. It can become burdensome and overwhelming, and sometimes you just need to step away. I hope that she knows that she is appreciated and respected, and she had so many people who enjoyed her blog, even when they never interacted with her. As my followers know, I post a coffee pic every morning, and while I am certainly not a replacement by any stretch of the imagination, if any of her followers happen to be my followers, you are more than welcome to send you coffee pics to me any time you feel like sharing, I’d be happy to post them along with my own in the morning. This photo was not the photo I was going to submit, however, I feel it’s more appropriate given the circumstances. Just me and my coffee and my Mr’s favorite new sexy shoes - unedited, unfiltered - gazing out my window and taking in the most delicious rays of morning sun… Which I hope lioness is doing this morning wherever she is.
