The embalmed bodies of Julia Pastrana and her infant son within the display case they were exhibited in. In August 1976, acts of vandalism destroyed the baby’s body—the remains of which were consumed by vermin. Julia’s body was stolen in 1979 but has since been recovered. Her corpse is currently held in the Department of Anatomy at Oslo University. -- source link
